Management Team
Edmund L. Luzine, Jr. – Founder and President. Mr. Luzine is an expert on the global emerging markets, the frontier markets, natural resources, energy, the environment and education. He currently serves as the President and CEO of Adirondack Capital Management, Inc., an investment firm focused on the global emerging markets and as an MBA Professor of Finance at Union Graduate College of Union University in upstate New York. He served in the US Army, achieved the rank of Lt. Colonel, and completed numerous assignments with special operations units and the intelligence community in the US and in major contingency operations in the Balkans, Afghanistan, Iraq, the surrounding region and many areas in the US. He served as a military advisor and liaison officer to the State Department with their Future of Iraq Work Groups during 2002 -2003. He also worked as an advisor to the World Bank in Sarajevo where he participated in the planning, review and financing of reconstruction projects with the International Finance Corporation, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the US Agency for International Development, and many other international organizations and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). He has significant experience on the ground in a wide range of emerging markets development projects. Mr. Luzine earned a BS degree from Syracuse University and an MBA in Finance, Economics, and Business Public Policy from the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Rochester. He served as the Treasurer of the non-profit group, the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of St. John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and of Malta during 2004-2007, and currently serves as member of the alumni advisory board to the Dean at the Simon School, University of Rochester.
